“The new financial year is a perfect time to get your finances in order,” Saver Plus worker from the Loddon Mallee Housing Service, Janice Peake, said.

“This could involve organising your tax return, setting financial goals or working out how to save on electricity and utilities bills.”

People can learn about their finances and boost their savings by joining the Saver Plus program, delivered by Loddon Mallee Housing Service and ANZ in Mildura and surrounding districts.

Saver Plus is a financial education and matched savings program, assisting people to save for their own or their children’s education.

The program encourages participants to save small amounts of money throughout the year using simple budgeting and planning techniques.
