New Colignan bus

17 Aug, 2009 04:00 AM
RESIDENTS in Colignan and Nangiloc will soon have access to return bus travel to Mildura.

A 24-seater bus will run from Colignan to Red Cliffs on Friday and Saturday mornings and return in the early evening.

A one-way fare from Colignan to Red Cliffs will cost $3.60 and $1.80 with concession.

A daily ticket will also enable free all-day travel on the Mildura network or for one hour with a one way ticket.

Tressna Martin, project officer for Transport Connections, said the new bus route had been 18 months in planning with much hard work involved.

“As it is a small population base, it was hard to justify the need for a bus but there were plenty of letters of support from the community,” she said.
