Bus to deliver anger

PROTESTERS opposed to the north-south pipeline will demonstrate against the controversial project outside the Bendigo office of the Minister for Regional Development, Jacinta Allan, at 11am on Friday.

Protest organisers Maria Riedl and Mary Chandler, of the Plug-the-Pipe action group, said Mildura Rural City Council was making free buses available to take protesters to Bendigo.

Plug-the-Pipe chairman Andrew Leahy said the Brumby Government had done little to protect the water security of all Victorians, and was now further threatening Sunraysia’s water supplies with the north-south pipeline.
